(More customer reviews)I bought this carrier as a gift for my friend who owns a house across the street from a lake.Before having a cart, she had to wait to have someone else around to help her get her kayak across the street and into the lake.She has a large 2 man sit on top.I was concerned about the wheels being satisfactory because the lake is surrounded by sandy beach.She was able to get the kayak onto the cart herself and easily cart it to the water's edge.The wheels made it through the sand just fine.
