(More customer reviews)These shoes are comfortable enough and the color is true to the photo. However, there is one notable discrepancy that bothers me. The tongue of this shoe is not branded leather as is shown in the illustration. Rather it is a black and beige, densely woven cordura-like fabric such as that shown in the illustrations for Island Surf Women's Classic Boat Shoe. In every other way, the shoes are identical. I chose the shoes I did because of that one difference--which turned out not to be a difference at all. Also, it is obvious that the shoes I received had been test-worn. I understand that shoes are returned when they do not fit, and I have no problem with that. This pair, however, had visible wear on the soles and even grains of sand embedded in the tracks. There was lint and more sand inside the shoes. Like many customers who can't be bothered by the time and hassle of a return, I'll keep these. But I'm disappointed with this Amazon merchant. It is the first time in many, many orders that I haven't been pleased with my Amazon experience.
